About Management of Vasavi Charitable Trust

Vasavi Charitable Trust is a charitable organisation with the following objects as incorporated in its trust deed signed by 39 AUTHORS, which was registered under the appropriate legislation on 23rd February 2004 and these .

The trust is incorporated to cater to the needs of the society in the following areas of activities:

• 1. Spiritual activities

  2. Medical activities

  3. Educational activities

  4. Social activities

  5. Cultural activities

  6. Environmental activities

The trust at the time of registration was to have maximum composition of the following trustees.

• • Five Hereditary Trustees

  • Fifty Founder Trustees

  • Five Co-opted trustees

During the course of last 15 years there was considerable enhancement in the quality and quantity of activities conducted by the trust which can be seen through photos published in this site under "Events Past - Smrithi Padham (Memory Lanes)". This has attracted good number of well-wishers hailing from various professions to Vasavi Charitable Trust who expressed their desire to contribute to the activities of the Trust by becoming trustees. This has necessitated the trust to make upward revision in the number of trustees and the Trust deed was amended with the unanimous approval of the General Body of Trustees and the amendment was registered with appropriate authority. As on date the trust is authorised to have 126 trustees under different categories as follows:

• • Hereditary Trustees: 9

  • Founder Trustees: 38

  • Life Trustees: 74

  • Co-opted trustees: 5

The trust is managed by Management Committee consisting of the following office-bearers. The Managing Committee meets regularly to take stock of day-to-day management and financial position of the trust etc.

  • President: One

  • Vice Presidents: Three

  • Secretary : One

  • Asst. Secretary: One

  • Treasurer: One

  • Asst. Treasurer: One

The Managing Committee has co-opted one of the trustees as Director - Admin to take care of day-to-day management of the Trust office and liaison with the trustees, donors, volunteers and devotees etc.

The above referred objects of the Trust are achieved through number of activities conducted by six committees i.e. one committee for each of the activity. Each of these committees are headed by a trustee as Director and assisted by couple of member - trustees and other volunteers.
